Many of MEKA's customers are either citizens of other countries in the U.S. on visa or immigrants aspiring for permanent residency or citizenship. As part of our services, we have become fluent in the needs of the international client determining both benefits and pitfalls of individuals residing in the U.S. and their relationship to the IRS and BCIS. We then apply these rules appropriately in filings for international clients in a way that is most beneficial to their circumstance.

Tax Filing for Individuals Abroad or Returning to Their Home Country
A U.S. alien who is temporarily out of the country or has returned to their home country during a U.S. taxable year need not concern themselves with the inability to file a tax return because they are abroad. MEKA prepares many returns for people who are in their own country during a tax filing season, just as efficiently as if the were in the U.S. at that time. We will arrange for refund or payment to/from those individuals and process all filings in an appropriate manner.

Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) Processing 
 We are pleased to announce that in 2007, MEKA became a Certifying ITIN Acceptance Agent for the IRS.  This is a designation only granted to a handful of qualified firms in the nation recognizing their excellence in the field of ITIN processing.  The ITIN is a number designated for tax purposes only to dependents of US Aliens and undocumented individuals who do not qualify for a Social Security number.  This new designation gives us a closer relationship to the IRS in determining whether an ITIN application is qualified for the issuance of an ITIN.  This is a critical function for many US aliens,  We can take the guesswork out of the process.

VISA Processing
MEKA will process the paperwork to secure a U.S. entry visa or change of status application for the following purposes:

• Work (H1B,H2,L1,EAD,OPT Employers only, except EAD OPT)
• Study (F1,M1,J)
• Matrimony (K)
• Investor (E) 
• Visitor (B) Dependent (H4, F2,etc.)
